This is part three of my Hogwarts Sorting. Here I finally sort some side characters: Marcus, Jessica, Ramulein, Nefertiti, Chatzu’kuan, and Robo-Knight! I don’t think any of these are controversial. These were pretty easy to figure out, all things considered. Marcus & Jessica - Ravenclaw Marcus and Jessica are both unique individuals driven to creative professions. Beyond that, they have shown curiosity and a desire to learn more of the strange world they have been thrust into. They're weird Ravenclaws,...
Ra’uw’la Vuwai joins Hequera/Dien in having commissioned art made of them! Woohoo! AR Sullivan was the artist I went with for Ra’uw’la. Although I had went with AR Sullivan primarily for Spellbinder/Farrco, I had planned on Ra’uw’la getting commissioned by them eventually too, as they had done these wolf-ish Humanoid characters. It made sense. The idea I had for Ra’uw’la’s art was with him in his armor, in a proud position, inside his abode, like a blue-ish cave. He would...
Just two pieces of art for June. Haven’t been in a super visually artistic mood lately and when I am it is more directed at supporting the in-progress commissions. Ashramar is a Sawapash that will be seen in the 11th book and Riag’wug is Riag’wug. Ashramar, Sawapash Royalty Riag'wug
Tyra Tarkush is the language of the creators/my world. It has its own grammar, a large ever-growing lexicon of words, and its own script. It took a few iterations and effort to get to this coherent point. This post is going to be my attempt to piece together the development history of Tyra Tarkush into some coherent groupings. I didn’t really date my notes/documents, so this is my best guess/recollection/general explanation of how Tyra Tarkush came about. It’s not in...
Jurak’s Day is a new short story about a Halihathrow investigator having an interesting day that quickly gets dangerous. I originally wrote some of it out in 2016 (?) and did some (?) work on it in 2017. Its premise was about a Halihathrow named Jurak having a weird day and having to unravel some conspiracy. I originally imagined it involving a time loop, somehow, but I was uncomfortable introducing that concept, so I wrote it as some weird stretch...
After Spellbinder was successfully done by AR Sullivan, I had Farrco commissioned! He was either going to be the easiest character ever or the hardest to get done. This is because Farrco is very geometric, static, and has more ‘elements’ to him than any other character. But he is static so there’s no pose question. He just is and my drawings of him are basically on point with articulating all of his aspects properly. I also knew what type of...
