Commissioned Art of Rayacha Chajaran!
Since the Balon Zfnoctewoohi commission with Erika Hollice went so well, I decided to have Erika continue with Balon’s family. Specifically, Rayacha Chajaran and Lana Zfhi. In my mind, all three together would show the evolution of their sentiments: Rayacha closed, Lana reaching out but caged, and Balon open and ready. Instead of doing Lana Zfhi next, I decided on Rayacha Chajaran for a variety of personal reasons. I had a really good concept art of her to provide in this artwork:
I was waffling on whether to have her in that classic robe or in a suit. I decided on the robe since it was such an iconic look for her. This piece would really resonate with The Madness of Light Rayacha Chajaran. Her introduction is one of the moments that really surprised me when I wrote it. Rayacha Chajaran surprises me so often…but anyway…onto the art!
Poses
I had a decent feeling on her pose, but as with Balon, Erika sent me four pose sketches to choose from:
Unsurprisingly, I went with the first one. I think that was the one I was really set on when I thought about this piece. The robe differences were compelling, but I also found the robe design in pose 1 to be most accurate to my mind’s eye of it.
Preview
Then came the preview. I was blown away by it! The robe was fantastic and pretty much exactly as I imagined it. So beautiful. Her countenance and pose was also on point. I didn’t really have any change requests besides trying to make her more white/pale…she was a bit too blueish. That was a really minor comment. It was so good! It just settled in my mind and worked. The background is also great too.
Despite the skin tone being a minor comment, Erika tweaked it and thus the final version was sent over!
Final
I’m so in love with it. It just…is classic Rayacha Chajaran. For what aspect of Rayacha Chajaran this is showing off, this is perfect. I don’t have any other words besides that I love it and it’s so Rayacha. Also that I can’t wait to work with Erika again!

Various pieces of art for/from Volume 2. Played with some new styles and brushes. I overall like the results.
Crochet Jurak
The crochet Jurak I made is BIG. I didn’t intend for him to be this big, but I’m bad with scale. As a result, he was hard to photograph. He was a beast to make too! Like with Chatzu’kuan, I took terrible notes/steps. I think what I consider BLO is actually FLO…so asterisk with that if you are trying to follow my instructions. {% include image-gallery.html gallery=page.gallery class=”half” %} Back legs Mr 4 Inc 4 Inc 2 sc 8 Inc...
